    Josef Pace is currently a physiotherapist at PhysioPoint and Da Vinci Health. He studied at the University of Malta and qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2001, is a Certified Running Technique Specialist (CRTS) trained by The Running School UK and a qualified Diagnostic Ultrasound Musculoskeletal Sonographer by the University of East London.

     

  • Upon graduation  he entered the National Health Service working in various areas of specialties.  He presented his undergraduate dissertation “GPs Perception of Physiotherapy in Malta” at the World Confederation of Physiotherapists in Barcelona in 2003.

    His main interest is musculoskeletal physiotherapy and in 2007 he obtained a post graduate Masters degree in Orthopaedic Medicine through Middelsex University London and his area of research focused on shoulder injuries.

    He obtained various certifications in acupuncture, diagnostic ultrasound biofeedback and is a member of the Australian Pilates Physiotherapy Institute and a qualified modified pilates instructor.  He has worked within the  musculoskeletal physiotherapy out patient department for 11 years and currently occupies the post of Allied Health Practitioner Physiotherapist and has a special interest in shoulder injury rehabilitation.

    He also occupied the post of Vice President of the Malta Association of Physiotherapists for 4 years and was an elected member on the appeals board of the Council of Professions Complementary to Medicine.  Since qualifying Josef has worked in private practice mainly treating orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions.

    In 2006 he established the Da Vinci Hospital Physiotherapy department now PhysioPoint and since then has built up a team of dedicated and qualified physiotherapists specializing in various fields.
